Founded in 1992, Profiilikeskus OY is a manufacturer of sheet metal roll forming machines with a unique understanding of the practical needs of producers of metal roofing, cladding, and gutter components.

Company Background

The company began operations in Kempele, Finland as a producer of roofing panels and corrugated/ribbed sheet metal. From the start, it focused on delivering impeccable product quality, with warranties of up to 25 years on its finished products.
To meet its strict quality and functionality standards, the company found that existing roll forming machines on the market did not meet its expectations. As a result, it began making major modifications to its production machines. With growing expertise, it ultimately decided to design and manufacture its own equipment: machines that, from the design stage, fully addressed the requirements of producing high-quality sheet metal components.
Thanks to its product quality and reliable service, Profiilikeskus has become the largest roll forming factory in northern Finland, supplying roofing for more than 60,000 homes in Finland, in addition to numerous other projects.
A few years later, other sheet metal manufacturers began to hear about the superior quality of Profiilikeskus’s machines and reached out to acquire similar equipment. The company then decided to expand its operations by selling machinery, while maintaining its own production for the local market.

Each machine project begins with the question: “What would we want from this machine if it were for our own production?” As a result, the company places a strong emphasis on excellent finished product quality, uncompromising reliability, ease of use and maintenance and profitability.
Floor space is optimized by placing electric and hydraulic systems underneath the machine. Advanced automation allows a single operator to manage multiple machines simultaneously. The robust construction ensures long-term performance and strong resale value.

Profiilikeskus continuously develops new technological solutions. Its high-efficiency automation systems are combined with rugged components to prevent breakdowns, delays, or unnecessary work. All new technologies are thoroughly tested in-house in its own sheet metal production facility, so clients are never used as test cases.

Custom-Made Machines Tailored to the Client’s Needs

Each country has its own preferred sheet metal profiles. That’s why, while Profiilikeskus does offer standard profiles like corrugated sheet, most new projects begin with a customer-supplied profile drawing.
The engineering team then works from this drawing, along with specifications regarding material types and production volumes, to deliver a machine precisely tailored to the client’s needs. Profiilikeskus’ extensive experience helps optimize production for both efficiency and output.
