Clay Tile-Look Roof Panels
The roofing-tile panel, also known as tile sheet or glazed tile panel, is a steel roofing panel designed to resemble a traditional clay tile roof. Tile panels were first invented in the Scandinavian countries, where there was a need for elegant roofing that could withstand snow and harsh winters. Since then, they have gained widespread popularity throughout Europe and are now available in many countries across all continents.
A Machine Built on Experience
Profiilikeskus manufactured its first tile panel machine in the mid-1990s and has continually improved the product since then. Tile-sheet panels are one of the key products manufactured at the Profiilikeskus roll forming plant.
As with all Profiilikeskus machines, the primary focus is on delivering impeccable product quality. For example, when the press is activated to shape the tiles, the forming rollers move forward to feed the sheet metal and prevent stretching. A spray system applies a water-oil mixture to the sheet at the point where the press applies pressure, to prevent the paint from being scratched.
This ensures that the panel maintains high structural integrity. Tile panels produced by Profiilikeskus machines have been certified by various organizations, including hurricane safety certifications, which ensure the panels won’t tear under extremely strong winds.
The stackerat the machine’s output is equipped with a pneumatic arm to perfectly align the tile panels, creating neat, easy-to-handle bundles.
Custom-Made Tile-Sheet Panels
The panel length can be adjusted directly on the control system, as well as the length of each tile. It is possible to preprogram multiple lengths and quantities for each production batch, and the control system can be connected to an ERP to exchange real-time production data.
Over the years, Profiilikeskus has produced tile panel machines for various profiles. It is therefore possible to produce tile panels resembling the traditional tiles specific to each country.
Exceptional Production Speed
Thanks to its extensive experience, the Profiilikeskus tile panel machine achieves an effective production speed of 26 feet per minute when producing 236 inch long panels. The effective production speed accounts for the time needed to stop for press and shear operations. This places the machine among the top speeds available on the market, even compared to those using flying presses and shears.
But that’s not all. The new-generation machine is capable of even faster speeds, reaching production rates up to 39 feet (12 meters) per minute.
